Last week,after all the stories I created with the photos,video editing and drawing pictures for the stop-motion technique,I finally got my certificate for the photo-editing projects.
I’m happy to learn more about preparing these projects since I’m plannig to use them in my classes.Especially these stories of photos could be done by the students or the groups for the project works and they could write and edit their own videos about the definite subjects.For the next year,I’m going to add them to my plans and develop my students’ ICT skills in video-editing or sound-editing.
And,my online course is going to start with a new module in an another aspect of video editing in September.I’m looking forward to editing more.

Global Education Conference

These days I’ve been reading about being a global teacher and searching about the global classroom projects for my students to feel themselves as the part of a global world.
The key point is that without technology we cannot connect the world or other teachers,students or classrooms.So that it’s vital to to know how to use all these technologies in meaningful ways.
I first read about the online conferences while I was reading the forums of classroom 2.0.I joined the ning of GEC and followed the discussions and watched some of the videos of the conference.It’s valuable for me to learn innovative ways of learning and teaching especially in SLL and it’s nice to be a memeber of a global community of teachers who are lifelong learners.
And I thank the organizing committee to give me chance to be a member of the advisory board.It makes me motivated to be a presenter for the future online conferences.

Busy,buussy days

Time is fleeting and I cannot keep up with it sometimes.I need to have 30 hours in a day.Maybe that would be enough for me.
Finally the end of the second term is coming,in four weeks the school will have been finished.
While I’m writing these lines,my students’ exam papers are waiting for me to be checked and their project works to be assessed.I feel that I don’t have any and my students are looking forward to getting higher,higher,higher marks that I would give them.
In these days, I start to become more emotional and remember my old lazy school days.I used to be a successful student at primary school but I was a lazy student at high school.I used to think about all things except the lessons or homework.I would read books in the lessons,sing in the choir to get rid of the boring lessons and go to cinema with my friends when I had to be at school.Those were great days but not last.I never regret doing any of them.Without my mistakes, I would not be as I am now.So that I understand some of my lazy students and try to give them projects to assess their works not by grades but also with their performances in the project works.
Lastly,I’m so busy these days and dream about having more time…

Being a judge in a global education project!

It is great to be a judge in a global project.I think that all the boundaries and walls are smashed by the help of technology and internet.This week I will have been judging some videos which have been recorded on a definite subject by the students.
Now the process has not started yet,but will be and I have just started to watch some of them.I think my job will not be so easy,the students’ videos are great,but I will watch all of them and choose the best ones according to some of the rubrics which will given nowadays.I wish I could be a great judge…

Like to be a video editor??

“”I would like to be create my best videos in the language classroom,wait you will see”.
I think we need to improve ourselves as teachers.Just being a good teacher in 21st century is not enough for anyone nowadays.We have to be everything in a 40-45 minutes but also I think I want to add new titles such as photographer,cameraman,video-editor..etc.
For three months, I have been recording my lessons and also my students’ performances in my lessons and upload them to utube and twitter but I have added only a few of them and will upload all of them after I edit them.I’m learning more about editing from my husband.He’s a professional video editor but usually he does not have time to teach,anyway.
In order to improve myself in this field I am attending a video education course about video-editing and it really helps me.I’m going to write about it more later.
